iOS 13 Leaks Detailed Feature List :
It’s coming to the next version of Android and now it’s coming to iOS too. Dark Mode UI has been long a demand on iPhones and iPads, and it seems Apple is finally giving in to the demands. There’s no information as to how Apple will implement the dark mode but expect all your white menu backgrounds to be now rendered in black – similar to how it happens in the high contrast mode. Dark Mode usually helps with reducing eye strain in darker ambiance and power saving features as well.
New UI changes:
iOS 13 is indeed going to bring a redesign this year but don’t expect a major overhaul similar to last year’s Android Pie. The UI overhaul is expected to be more in line with what was done with iOS 11. The report mentions redesigned UI for the volume slider and redesigned Apple apps.
Multitasking for iPad:
Apple has been pushing its iPad as a laptop alternative but iOS has been holding back for long. With iOS 13, Apple is expected to bring a Windows-based multitasking feature. Users will be able to use multiple apps together. The windows can be moved around and dismissed as required. The feature is expected to be similar to Samsung’s DeX implementation for its Galaxy Tab S4.
iOS 13 is expected to bring an Undo gesture for iPhones and iPads. The report suggests users will able do both undo and redo for text with a gesture. The gesture will require users to tap with three fingers on the keyboard and move either left or right for the undo/redo function.
New features in Safari and Mail:
Apple’s trusty old web browser for iOS will be getting an overhaul along with the Mail app. Safari is now expected to load desktop versions of websites by default on iPad. Mail will get a major redesign similar to Gmail with new categories.
